PEACE RESTORED IN TIGNO AND LAMURDE OF ADAMAWA STATE.













Following the deployment of additional police personnel to augment strength of the Divisional Police Officer Tigno and Lamurde LGA, normalcy has been restored to the affected areas.





Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.




Preliminary investigations reveal that the conflict is linked to a disputed farmland currently under court litigation and a total of 33 round huts and three flat houses were discovered burnt, while searching for casualties is still ongoing to ascertain the actual number.


To strengthen security and prevent a further breakdown of law and order, more Mobile Police Force (PMF), operation farauta and Counter Terrorism unit personnel have been deployed to the area.


While peace has been restored, investigations are still ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators and their collaborators.
