GANYE BYE- ELECTION:- ADAMAWA POLICE COMMAND ENGAGED STAKEHOLDERS, ASSURED OF PEACEFUL ADMOSPHEARE

The Adamawa State Police Command, today hosted a peace accord meeting with leaders and representatives of political parties ahead of the forthcoming Ganye state House of Assembly bye-election.
In his welcomed address, Commissioner of police *CP Dankombo Morris, urged all political parties to adhere strictly to the electoral laws, emphasising the need to commit to a peaceful process. He disclosed that the Command has identified all polling units and deployed security to protect electorates, sensitive and non sensitive materials. He urged political stakeholders to caution their supporters to place Adamawa above all interests and stressed the role of the Police in providing an enabling environment for a peaceful election.

Those in attendance were Bello Babajo (Chairman APM/IPAC), AT Shehu (PDP), M.A. Alahirab (ZLP), Emmanuel John (NRM), Hon. P.B. Dawa (AA), Alh. Babangida Umaru (ADP), Suleiman Aliyu (APP), Muhammed Musa (APGA), Eromo Gibson (Labour Party), Shafi’u Sale (AAC), Baba Nyoko H (YPP), Shehu K. Yohannah (ADC), Maryam Ufaro (BP), Yahaya Cholli (Accord), and Muhammed Auwal (APC).
The meeting concluded with all chairmen and representatives of political parties signing the peace accord, pledging to uphold peace before, during, and after the election.
