The Future of Adamawa Youth under Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei

By Lado Salihu Garba. Yola.

If Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei becomes the Governor of Adamawa State, the youths will be at the center of his administration. He strongly believes that the strength and prosperity of Adamawa lie in the hands of its young people. His vision is to empower, equip, and inspire the youth to become leaders, innovators, and productive citizens.

1. Education and Skills Development

Dr. Girei will invest heavily in modern education by improving schools, upgrading facilities, and introducing technology-driven learning. He will also create skill acquisition centers across the state to train youths in ICT, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and technical trades, preparing them for the competitive job market.

2. Job Creation and Entrepreneurship

Recognizing that unemployment is one of the greatest challenges facing youths, Dr. Girei will partner with both public and private sectors to create jobs. Special programs will be introduced to support young entrepreneurs with access to loans, grants, and mentorship, helping them to establish small and medium-scale businesses.

3. Sports and Talent Development

He believes in harnessing the natural talents of youths in sports, music, and creative industries. His administration will revive sporting facilities, organize state competitions, and provide platforms where young talents can be discovered, supported, and promoted nationally and internationally.

4. Digital Innovation and Technology

To prepare Adamawa youths for the future, Dr. Girei will establish innovation hubs and ICT labs where young people can develop digital skills, explore coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and create tech startups that can compete globally.

5. Youth in Leadership

Dr. Girei is committed to giving young people a voice in governance. His government will appoint youths into leadership positions, engage them in policy-making, and ensure they play active roles in shaping the destiny of the state.

6. Security and Peacebuilding

Understanding that many youths fall into crime due to frustration and lack of opportunities, he will launch empowerment programs that keep young people engaged, while also working with communities to build a peaceful and secure environment for growth.

✨ In summary, Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei envisions an Adamawa where the youth are not job seekers but job creators, not followers but leaders, and not left behind but driving the progress of the state.
