The attention of the Adamawa State Police Command has been drawn to a report by some social media platforms alleging the continued detention of activist Mallam Hussaini Gambo Nakura “by the Police..."

police Public Relation Officer Adamawa State Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.

For the avoidance of doubt, Mallam Hussaini Gambo Nakura was invited by the Command on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, following a petition against him bordering on alleged intentional insults/ Abusive language, inciting disturbance and defamation of character. He honoured the invitation and was accorded all his rights under the law.

Upon conclusion of investigation, the matter was charged to court on the same day. At no point was Mallam Hussaini Gambo Nakura was unlawfully detained, contrary to the insinuations contained in the said report.

The Command therefore urges members of the public to disregard such misleading narratives and reassures that it remains committed to fairness, justice, and respect for the rule of law.
