ADAMAWA CP ARREST TWO POLICE OFFICERS FOR UNPROFESSIONAL CONDUCT

Adamawa State Police Command has received a report of unprofessional conduct displayed by some police personnel deployed to a nipping point attached to Jimeta Divisional police headquarters, who were on duty along River Side, Jimeta. Preliminary findings revealed that the officers stopped a Mercedes 180 for routine search, during which the occupants resisted. In the course of the encounter, one of the officers behaved in a way and manner prejudicial to discipline by firing gun shots at the vehicle’s tyres, an act considered unnecessary and unprofessional. However, No injuries were recorded.


Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa  state Command disclosed this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.



The officers involved have been arrested and taken into custody. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. The Command assures members of the public that appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken upon completion of the investigation.
