FALSE REPORT ON THE ALLEGED BEHEADING OF ADAMAWA CAN CHAIRMAN*

By Alhassan Haladu Yola.

The Adamawa State Police Command came across a false and inciting post circulating on Facebook page originated by one Lionman Lioni, claiming that the Adamawa State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has been beheaded by Fulani terrorists in the State.

Police Public Relation Officer ADAMAWA state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje disclosed this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.

The Command wishes to categorically refute this malicious claim in its entirety. *There is no such incident recorded anywhere in Adamawa State.* The report is purely the handiwork of mischief-makers aimed at creating panic, tension, and religious disaffection among peace-loving residents.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, urges the public to disregard the fake report and always verify information from credible sources before sharing. The Command has commenced an investigation to uncover and prosecute those behind the false publication.
