In a bid to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj exercise in 2026, officials in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State have called on intending pilgrims to dedicate themselves to ongoing orientation seminars.
The call was made during the opening ceremony of the pilgrims' orientation seminar held recently in Girei.
Mallam Usman Suleiman Girei, the lead facilitator of the seminar, emphasized the critical importance of the orientation for all prospective pilgrims.
He stated that acquiring proper knowledge is key to performing the Hajj rites without challenges.
He urged the pilgrims to demonstrate commitment through prompt and regular attendance at all seminar sessions. He advised them to diligently apply the lessons learned to ensure a peaceful and problem-free 2026 Hajj experience.
Adding his voice, the Head of Hajj Planning and Operations for Girei Local Government Area, Alhaji Salihu Garba, stressed that close attention to instructions is fundamental to a successful pilgrimage.
Alhaji Garba said the only way to achieve a successful Hajj exercise is by paying close attention to the guidance given during this seminar.
He further encouraged the pilgrims to actively cooperate with and support their instructors and leaders. He urged them to never hesitate to ask questions for clarity, as this would enhance their understanding of the teachings.
Concluding his remarks, Alhaji Garba charged the intending pilgrims to be exemplary ambassadors of Nigeria throughout their journey—from home to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and back. He also called on them to consistently pray for Allah's guidance and for the sustenance of lasting peace.
The orientation seminars are designed to equip pilgrims with the necessary knowledge on the rites of Hajj, travel procedures, health guidelines, and ethical conduct, preparing them for the spiritual journey ahead.
