Emir of Maiha Urges Traditional Title Holders to Promote Peace and Unity

Traditional title holders have been urged to use their positions to promote unity and sustain peaceful coexistence within their communities.
The Emir of Maiha, Alhaji Ahmadu Saibaru Sanda, made the appeal while turbaning Alhaji Usman Suleiman Pallam as the Sarkin Tsabta at his palace in Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The Emir stated that Alhaji Usman Suleiman Pallam was appointed based on merit and his contributions toward the development of Maiha, which qualified him for the traditional title of Sarkin Tsabta.
According to the monarch, traditional title holders play a vital role in fostering peace, unity, and understanding among the people. He emphasized that peace and unity are of utmost importance and called for greater efforts to educate communities on their significance, noting that they are essential for development across all sectors.
The Emir also advised the newly turbaned Sarkin Tsabta to sustain his efforts in promoting peace and unity within the community. He assured him that the Maiha Emirate would provide full support at all times to strengthen harmony in Maiha and its surrounding areas.
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Usman Suleiman Pallam expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and the Emir of Maiha for finding him worthy of the honour.
He acknowledged the immense responsibility that comes with the title and pledged to serve not just as a leader but as a servant to the people. He promised to work collectively with all stakeholders to empower the community, foster unity, and promote progress and prosperity.
The new Sarkin Tsabta further pledged to contribute to the development of the Emir’s palace, Maiha Local Government, and Adamawa State at large.
He also thanked his family and friends for their support and encouragement, which he said motivated him to continue working for the development of society.
