ENLIGHTENMENT CAMPAIGN DURING SUNDAY SERVICE AT LCCN ST. MONICA JIMETA BY THE SECTOR COMMANDER FRSC ADAMAWA STATE COMMAN, CC IRAHIM A. SADIQ ON SUNDAY 15TH MARCH 2026.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Adamawa State Sector Command, Corps Commander Ibrahim A. Sadiq, carried out a Public Enlightenment Campaign during the Sunday Church Service at LCCN St. Monica Jimeta, on Sunday 15th March 2026.

The visit formed part of the Command’s continuous effort to sensitize members of the public, especially worshippers, on the importance of road safety and responsible road use, particularly as the festive period approaches.


During his address to the congregation, the Sector Commander appreciated the Church leadership for granting the FRSC the opportunity to interact with members. He emphasized that road crashes are largely preventable when road users comply with traffic rules and regulations.


He enlightened the congregation on key road safety issues which included dangers of over speeding and reckless driving, Avoidance of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The importance of the use of seat belts by drivers and passengers.The need to avoid phone use while driving, Proper use of pedestrian walkways and road crossings.



CC Ibrahim A. Sadiq also reminded the congregation about the need for regular vehicle maintenance and ensuring that vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on any journey.


He further urged parents and guardians to educate their children on road safety practices, stressing that safety on the road is a collective responsibility.


The Church leadership appreciated the FRSC for the timely sensitization and assured the Command of their continued support in promoting road safety awareness within the community.


The campaign ended with prayers offered for the FRSC personnel and for safety on Nigerian roads.
