Muslims Ummah have been Urged to be unite and promote peace.

The Muslim community has been called upon to remain united and support one another in order to promote good conduct and advance the religion of Islam as it should be practiced.
Chairman of the Council for Islamic Affairs in Adamawa State, Alhaji Gambo Jika, made this call while delivering a speech during an Iftar (breaking of the fast) organized by the Muslim Youth Association of Nigeria (MUYAN), Adamawa State Chapter. The event took place at the Secretariat of the Islamic Council in Yola.
Alhaji Gambo Jika stated that unity among Muslims is extremely important. Therefore, he said it is necessary for Muslims to do everything appropriate to promote unity within the Muslim community.
He further emphasized the council’s commitment to supporting any initiative that promotes unity among Muslims in order to ensure success in strengthening the community.
He also advised Muslims to increase their efforts in helping the less privileged, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, noting that such acts help strengthen unity among Muslims.
Jika praised the Muslim youth organization for organizing the Iftar for the less privileged, saying it is a commendable effort and expressing hope that they will continue their good work.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of MUYAN in Adamawa State, Engr. Musa Bello Modibbo, said the Iftar was organized to promote unity among Muslims and to encourage them to live as brothers, as instructed by Almighty Allah that believers should be united and not divided. He added that this was the reason for organizing the event.
Also speaking, Alhaji Sani Jada commended the MUYAN organization for organizing the Iftar and encouraged them to continue carrying out such activities to promote unity among the Muslim community.
The Public Relations Officer of the organization in Adamawa State, Abdullahi Njidda Damare, expressed their appreciation to the Islamic Council under the leadership of Alhaji Gambo Jika for giving them the opportunity to organize the Iftar for the community.
According to him, the council played an important role in supporting them, which contributed to the success of the event.
The Iftar gathering was attended by many people from different parts of Adamawa State.
