Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, πͺπ· π²ππππ πΌπππ π―πππππ, has conducted a confidence-building patrol and on-the-spot assessment of affected communities, including Mayoladde Village and the Kuva–Gaya axis in Hong Local Government Area, following the recent attack and unrest in parts of the State.
Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa State SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.
The patrol, which extended to Mayoladde Village and the Kuva–Gaya axis in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, also covered adjoining border communities linking Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State, as part of sustained efforts to reinforce security presence and reassure residents of their safety.
The visit forms part of deliberate and proactive measures by the Command to restore public confidence, reinforce security deployment, and reassure residents of the Police’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the affected communities.
During the patrol, the Commissioner of Police interacted with community members and local stakeholders, urging them to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of ongoing security operations by providing credible and timely information.
The CP further emphasized that the Command, in collaboration with the Military and other security agencies, has intensified patrols, surveillance, and coordinated operations across Hong LGA and adjoining border areas to prevent any further breach of peace.
He assured residents that proactive measures have been emplaced, while personnel have been strategically deployed to sustain peace, stability, and normalcy in the affected communities.
The Command calls on the general public to go about their lawful activities without fear, as adequate security arrangements have been put in place.
