Muslim Women Urged to Join Women in Da’awa Committee in Adamawa

By Alhassan  Haladu Yola.

Muslim women have been called upon to come forward and join the Women in Da’awa Committee in order to contribute to the proper development of Islam.

The Coordinator of the Women in Da’awa Committee in Adamawa State, Hajiya Rabi’atu Ahmed Buhari, made the call while speaking with journalists in Yola.

Hajiya Rabi’atu explained that there is a strong need for women to actively contribute to the growth of Islam at all times.

She therefore urged Muslim women to join the committee and play their part in promoting religious development.

She added that there are many activities that require the support and cooperation of Muslim women, noting that such involvement would help promote the development of Islam effectively.

Hajiya Rabi’atu also stated that the committee currently holds meetings on the last Sunday of every month at a school located in the GRA area, near FOMWAN. She encouraged interested women to attend these meetings and obtain membership forms from Malama Rukayya.

According to her, the Women in Da’awa Committee is involved in various humanitarian activities, including supporting orphans, assisting pilgrims, and helping people with special needs, as well as other vulnerable groups.

She therefore appealed to women to join and contribute to the success of these initiatives.

She reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to continuously promoting Islamic development in the state.

On political participation, Hajiya Rabi’atu urged women—especially those who have not yet registered for their voter cards—to visit the electoral office and complete their registration. She noted that this would enable them to vote for leaders of their choice during elections.

She emphasized that women play a vital role in the electoral process and should not be left behind. She encouraged them to ensure they possess valid voter cards.

She also advised those whose voter cards have issues or who have relocated to update their details so they can participate fully in the 2027 general elections.

Hajiya Rabi’atu further called on women to remain united and committed to religious activities in order to attain success in the hereafter.
