APC Wins All Chairmanship, Councillorship Seats In Gombe

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won all chairmanship and councillorship seats in the Gombe State Local Government Council elections.

The elections, conducted by the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission, GOSIEC, took place across the state's eleven Local Government Areas and thirteen Local Council Development Areas.

Announcing the results, GOSIEC Chairman, Abdullahi  Talasse, said the APC secured all eleven local government chairmanship seats, all thirteen LCDA chairmanship seats, and all two hundred and forty councillorship positions.

He explained that the APC was the only political party that fielded candidates in all the local governments, LCDAs, and councillorship wards, while other parties contested only in selected areas.

Talasse said the creation of the thirteen LCDAs has expanded grassroots governance and increased opportunities for political participation across the state.

He commended political parties, security agencies, election officials, observers, and voters for their peaceful conduct throughout the electoral process.
