The Adamawa State Police Command has succeeded in arresting one Alhaji Adamu Yahaya, m, of Hosere Jambutu, Yola North Local Government Area, in connection with the kidnapping of three persons in Yola North LGA of Adamawa State.


Police Public Relation Office ADAMAWA state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.



On June 16th, 2026, one Samaila Musa, m, of Hullere Gwalamba, Yola North LGA, reported at the State Intelligence Department (SID) that on 12th June, 2026,  three of his sons, namely: Adamu Samaila Sultan, aged 24 years, Bilal Abdurrahman, aged 8 years, and Ya'u Sani Baba Iyali, aged 10 years, were kidnapped and whisked away to an unknown destination.



The complainant further reported that the kidnappers later established contact with the family and demanded ransom as a condition for the release of the victims.



Upon receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, 𝐂𝐏 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐫 𝐔𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧, fdc, immediately directed operatives of the Command to commence a discreet investigation and deploy intelligence and technical assets. The swift action led to the subsequent arrest of one suspect.



During the investigation, the suspect was arrested and is currently providing useful information that will assist in the arrest of other members of the kidnapping syndicate.



Investigation is ongoing, and the suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation.
