NSCDC ADAMAWA WELCOMES NEW STATE COMMANDANT AS COMMANDANT NASIRU SALEH ASSUMES OFFICE

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, today witnessed a seamless transition of leadership as Commandant Nasiru Saleh officially assumed office as the 16th State Commandant of the Command following the formal handing over ceremony by the outgoing State Commandant, Commandant ID Bande.


Public Relation Officer NSCDC Adamawa state Command DSC Amidu Nyako Baba discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.




The handing-over ceremony, which took place at the State Command Headquarters, Yola, was attended by members of the Command's Management Team.


In his farewell address, Commandant ID Bande expressed profound appreciation to officers and men of the Command for their loyalty, dedication, and unwavering support throughout his tenure. He commended the personnel for their professionalism and urged them to accord the incoming State Commandant the same cooperation to enable him achieve greater success in advancing the mandate of the Corps.


Speaking shortly after taking over the mantle of leadership, the new State Commandant, Commandant Nasiru Saleh, expressed gratitude to the Commandant General, NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, for the confidence reposed in him to lead the Adamawa State Command.


He pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessor by strengthening operational effectiveness, enhancing intelligence-driven policing, safeguarding Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, promoting personnel welfare, deepening community engagement, and fostering greater synergy with sister security agencies and other stakeholders in ensuring the safety and security of the people of Adamawa State.


Commandant Nasiru further charged officers and men of the Command to remain disciplined, professional, committed, and dedicated to duty, emphasizing that teamwork, integrity, accountability, and excellence would be the guiding principles of his administration.


A seasoned security professional, Commandant Nasiru Saleh has served the Corps with distinction in several operational and administrative capacities across various Commands, prior to his appointment as the 16th State Commandant of NSCDC Adamawa State Command.


Commandant Nasiru, reassures the Government and good people of Adamawa State of his unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property, the security of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, the fight against vandalism and other acts of economic sabotage, as well as sustained collaboration with other security agencies in maintaining peace, law, and public order across the State.
