APC Governorship Candidate Prioritizes Youth Empowerment In Gombe

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Gombe State, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has reaffirmed that youth empowerment will be a top priority of his administration if elected.


Dr Gwamna says his government will invest heavily in the creative economy, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and job creation to unlock the potential of young people across the state.


Describing the youth as the backbone of Gombe State, the APC candidate said investing in their education, health and economic empowerment is essential to building a prosperous future.


He pledged that, In Shaa Allah, his administration would implement inclusive and impactful youth development programmes that would benefit young men and women in every part of the state.


Dr Gwamna also promised to expand opportunities in agriculture, education, vocational training, technology and small business development, equipping young people with the skills needed to compete in today's economy.


The APC governorship candidate commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for what he described as a solid foundation in youth development and empowerment, assuring that his administration would build on those achievements while introducing new initiatives to create more opportunities.


He further pledged to promote an investment-friendly environment that would attract businesses, stimulate economic growth and create sustainable jobs for thousands of young people.


Dr Gwamna expressed confidence that with the right policies and strategic investments, Gombe State would emerge as a leading hub for innovation, enterprise and shared prosperity.

The Adamawa State Police Command regrets to confirm a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on 3rd June, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m. along the Narehi area of Girei-Song Local Government Areas. Police Public Relation OfficerAdamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje  discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The unfortunate incident involved a military Gun truck travelling from Gombi towards Yola and a commercial Hummer bus conveying five (5) passengers from Yola to Mubi. Preliminary findings reveals that both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, resulting in the commercial bus flipped over and burst into flames. Tragically, all five passengers aboard the Hummer bus were burnt to death after the vehicle caught fire following the collision. ASUU MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY BRANCH COMMENCED TWO WEEK WARNING STRIKE.

NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie

The State Commandant, Comdt Idris Bande, issued the directive for the massive deployment to provide adequate safety and security for lives and property, as well as to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure within Adamawa State during the Easter period.
