CP KABIRU UMAR HASSAN CONTINUES FAMILIARISATION TOUR TO GANYE, ENGAGES GANWARI GANYE, POLICE OFFICERS AND SECURITY STAKEHOLDERS

As part of efforts to strengthen security collaboration and enhance community policing across Adamawa State, the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, fdc, has continued his familiarisation tour to Ganye Local Government Area.


Police Public Relation Officer Asamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje disclosed this in a statement made available to Newsmen in yola.



During the visit, the Commissioner of Police paid a courtesy call on the Ganwari Ganye. He expressed profound appreciation to the Royal Father for his unwavering commitment to peace, unity and security within the Ganye Chiefdom. 


The CP commended the traditional ruler's exemplary leadership and proactive role in promoting peaceful coexistence, which has contributed immensely to making the chiefdom relatively peaceful and crime-free.


He emphasized the importance of sustaining the existing synergy between the traditional institution and security agencies. The CP urged the Ganwari to continue supporting the Police with credible and timely information to enhance proactive policing and improve public safety.


 


Thereafter, the Commissioner of Police held an interactive meeting with Police officers and critical stakeholders drawn from Ganye, Jada, Mayo Belwa, Toungo, Kojoli and Nassarawo Jerreng. 


In attendance were: Heads of Sister Security Agencies, members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Hunters, Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Miyetti Allah, PULAKU, religious leaders, community leaders, concerned citizens and other relevant stakeholders.


Addressing the gathering, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan appreciated the stakeholders for their unwavering support and cooperation with the Police in maintaining peace and security across the area. 


He reiterated that effective policing cannot be achieved by the Police alone, stressing that security is a shared responsibility that requires the collective efforts of government, security agencies, traditional institutions and members of the public.


The CP charged all stakeholders to:

1.  Remain law-abiding

2.  Strengthen intelligence sharing 

3.  Promote peaceful coexistence

4.  Promptly report suspicious persons and activities to the nearest security agency


He assured them of the Command's unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property and responding promptly to security concerns.


 

The Commissioner of Police was accompanied on the tour by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations and Deployment; the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Criminal Investigation; Assistant Commissioners of Police, and other senior officers of the Command.

The Adamawa State Police Command regrets to confirm a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on 3rd June, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m. along the Narehi area of Girei-Song Local Government Areas. Police Public Relation OfficerAdamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje  discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The unfortunate incident involved a military Gun truck travelling from Gombi towards Yola and a commercial Hummer bus conveying five (5) passengers from Yola to Mubi. Preliminary findings reveals that both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, resulting in the commercial bus flipped over and burst into flames. Tragically, all five passengers aboard the Hummer bus were burnt to death after the vehicle caught fire following the collision. ASUU MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY BRANCH COMMENCED TWO WEEK WARNING STRIKE.

NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie

The State Commandant, Comdt Idris Bande, issued the directive for the massive deployment to provide adequate safety and security for lives and property, as well as to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure within Adamawa State during the Easter period.
