Sabilu Rashad School Celebrates 12th Graduation Ceremony, Graduates 57 Students in Yola

YOLA – Sabilu Rashad School, located in Yola, Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State, has celebrated its 12th graduation ceremony, with 57 students graduating. The event attracted parents, relatives, friends, well-wishers, and dignitaries from within and outside the local government area.


The ceremony, held at the school's premises in Yola, featured goodwill messages from education stakeholders, traditional leaders, government officials, and other distinguished guests.


Speaking at the event, the Education Secretary of Yola South Local Government Area and Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Abba Yarima, commended the founder of the school, Hajiya Maryam Baba Lau Hassan, for her commitment to expanding access to quality education. He said the school has made a significant contribution to the educational development of children within and beyond Yola South Local Government Area.


He also praised the school's management and teachers for their dedication to providing quality academic instruction and sound moral upbringing. Alhaji Yarima reaffirmed his support for the institution and urged parents to continue supporting the school to sustain its growth and achievements.


Also speaking, the District Head of Yola and Daukan Adamawa, Alhaji Zubairu Adamu, applauded the school for combining Islamic and Western education with strong moral values. He described the school's achievements as a valuable contribution to society and encouraged the graduating students to pursue higher education and use their knowledge to positively impact their communities.


The Chairman of Yola South Local Government Area, Barr. Babaiyal, represented by Dr. Abdullahi Muhammed, commended the school for its efforts in promoting education. He urged the graduates to remain disciplined, continue their education, and uphold the values instilled in them, while calling on parents to continue supporting the institution.


In her remarks, Hajiya Maisaratu Bello congratulated the graduates on their perseverance and dedication throughout their studies. She encouraged them to remain focused on their educational goals and advised younger students to stay committed to their studies, respect their teachers, and maintain good discipline.


Hajiya Mariya Nyako described the graduation ceremony as well-organized and impressive. She praised the founder's vision and dedication, noting that the school has made a meaningful contribution to educational development in the state. She also urged parents to continue supporting the institution.


The founder of the school, Hajiya Maryam Baba Lau Hassan, expressed gratitude to parents, staff, and supporters, noting that this year's graduation ceremony was more successful than previous editions due to the increased participation and support received. She reaffirmed her commitment to continuously improving the school's academic standards and overall development.


Delivering the vote of thanks, Alhaji Gidado Muhammed Hassan appreciated the District Head of Yola, the Chairman of Yola South Local Government Area, guests, parents, and everyone who attended the event, describing their presence as a demonstration of support for education.


A total of 57 students graduated during the school's 12th graduation ceremony held in 2026.

The Adamawa State Police Command regrets to confirm a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on 3rd June, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m. along the Narehi area of Girei-Song Local Government Areas. Police Public Relation OfficerAdamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje  discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The unfortunate incident involved a military Gun truck travelling from Gombi towards Yola and a commercial Hummer bus conveying five (5) passengers from Yola to Mubi. Preliminary findings reveals that both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, resulting in the commercial bus flipped over and burst into flames. ASUU MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY BRANCH COMMENCED TWO WEEK WARNING STRIKE.

NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie

The State Commandant, Comdt Idris Bande, issued the directive for the massive deployment to provide adequate safety and security for lives and property, as well as to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure within Adamawa State during the Easter period.
