ADAMAWA POLICE RECOVER LOCALLY MADE FIREARMS IN MAYO-BELWA

The Adamawa State Police Command has recovered one locally made single-barrel gun, one locally made pistol, and one cartridge at the Ngunure River Bank, via Mayo-Belwa.



Police public Relation office Asamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje stated this in a statement made available to Newsment in Yola.


The recovery was made on 13th August 2026 at about 1600hrs, following credible information received by the Police in Mayo-Belwa from a concerned citizen.


Investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for concealing the firearms.


The Command reiterates its commitment to ridding the state of illegal weapons and urges members of the public to continue providing timely information to the Police.
