Beyond Politics: Why Jamil Gwamna Is the best to Manage Gombe's Economy

The 2027 governorship conversation should  ask more demanding questions than political rhetorics.

Who among them understands investment and enterprise?


Who has the connection to drive Public-Private Partnership that will rake in investment for Gombe State?


Who understands the traditional institution and has the capacity to harness such to rapid advance inclusive development for the state?


Who has experience managing people and resources?


Who has participated in creating jobs?


Who understands the difference between spending public money and investing public money?


Who can build partnerships between government and the private sector?


And who possesses the experience to help transform Gombe from an economy heavily dependent on government into one increasingly driven by agriculture, enterprise, technology, investment and private-sector growth?


Regarding these questions, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the Sardauna of Gombe is the answer and deserves a serious consideration.


His story represents an unusual convergence of public service and corporate leadership.


From the Executive Chairman, Gombe State Water Board to the commanding heights of Nigeria's electricity distribution industry. He has experience from both the government and private sector? 


That calibre of experience matters.

The Adamawa State Police Command regrets to confirm a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on 3rd June, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m. along the Narehi area of Girei-Song Local Government Areas. Police Public Relation OfficerAdamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje  discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The unfortunate incident involved a military Gun truck travelling from Gombi towards Yola and a commercial Hummer bus conveying five (5) passengers from Yola to Mubi. Preliminary findings reveals that both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, resulting in the commercial bus flipped over and burst into flames. ASUU MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY BRANCH COMMENCED TWO WEEK WARNING STRIKE.

NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie

The State Commandant, Comdt Idris Bande, issued the directive for the massive deployment to provide adequate safety and security for lives and property, as well as to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure within Adamawa State during the Easter period.
