Gombe Above All: Jamil Gwamna Calls for Clean, Issue-Based Campaign.

As Gombe State prepares for another defining moment in its democratic journey, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna strased that the people of the state deserve a campaign that speaks to their concerns, addresses their needs and presents a clear vision for a better future.


Ibrahim Sani Shawai Spokesperson to Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna disclosed this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Gombe.


From the outset of his gubernatorial campaign, Dr. Jamil Gwamna made it clear that his campaign would be issues-based, people-centred and solutions-driven, with no room for insults, personal attacks or needless distractions.


“From the very beginning, I made it clear that I will run an issues-based campaign. I have no interest in politics of insults, personal attacks, or needless distractions,” he said


“That commitment remains as firm today as it was on the day it was made and continues to define the direction of our campaign,” stressing that the guiding principle remains Gombe Above All.


Dr. Gwamna said the campaign would focus on issues that matter to the people, including job creation, economic growth, youth and women empowerment, agriculture and livestock development, education, healthcare, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, investment and innovation.


He also called on the people of Gombe State to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who is contesting for the Senatorial seat, as well as all other APC candidates contesting for the Senate and House of Representatives in the state.


According to Dr. Gwamna, the tremendous projects, programmes and interventions of the Inuwa Yahaya administration are enough to present to the people as evidence of the APC’s commitment to development and good governance in Gombe State.


“Our campaign is equally committed to consolidating the remarkable achievements of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya while introducing fresh ideas, innovative policies and strategic initiatives that will accelerate growth,” he said.


He said that once the gubernatorial and State Assembly campaigns commence, he will unveil his comprehensive blueprint for Gombe State, anchored on Continuity, Sustainability and Consolidation.


The blueprint, he explained, will build on the achievements of the present administration under Governor Inuwa Yahaya, while introducing practical solutions to create more opportunities, improve living standards and ensure development reaches every part of Gombe State.


We believe that Gombe possesses the human and natural resources to become one of Africa’s leading sub-national economies, through visionary leadership, disciplined governance, and the collective efforts of our people. 


Dr. Gwamna therefore called on all political actors, supporters and citizens to maintain peace and embrace a clean, respectful and issue-based campaign, saying the interest of Gombe State must remain above personal and political differences.

The Adamawa State Police Command regrets to confirm a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on 3rd June, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m. along the Narehi area of Girei-Song Local Government Areas. Police Public Relation OfficerAdamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje  discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The unfortunate incident involved a military Gun truck travelling from Gombi towards Yola and a commercial Hummer bus conveying five (5) passengers from Yola to Mubi. ASUU MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY BRANCH COMMENCED TWO WEEK WARNING STRIKE.

NSCDC Adamawa State Command Deploys 2,521 Personnel for Easter Festivitie
