NSCDC ARRESTS FIVE SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS IN WURO-HAUSA

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, has arrested five (5) suspects allegedly involved in armed robbery activities in Wuro-Hausa, Yola- South, Adamawa State.
Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command DSC Amidu Nyako Baba disclosed this in statement made available to Newsmen in Yola.
The suspects were arrested at about 0300am hours of Thursday 10th September, 2026, following a coordinated effort between operatives of the Corps and vigilant members of the community. The operation was initiated following credible information concerning the suspicious activities of the suspects.
During the operation, the suspects were found in possession of dangerous weapons suspected to have been intended for the commission of criminal activities.
Comdt Nasiru Saleh the State Commandant, NSCDC Adamawa State Command, commended the members of the community for their vigilance, courage and timely provision of information, noting that effective community-security collaboration remains critical to crime prevention and public safety.
He further called on members of the public to remain vigilant and continue to provide security agencies with credible and timely information on suspicious persons, movements and activities within their communities.
The five suspects are currently in our custody for investigation and prosecution in accordance with extant laws.
The Command remains commitment to protecting lives and property, maintaining public safety, and collaborating with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders to combat crime and criminality across Adamawa State.
