The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, has warned that it will take strict action against anyone found selling fake agrochemicals to farmers across the state. The Command's Public Relations Officer, DSC Amidu Nyako Baba, disclosed this during an interview with journalists in Yola. DSC Amidu Nyako Baba said the NSCDC, under the leadership of Commandant Nasiru Sakeh, would not tolerate the activities of individuals involved in the sale of counterfeit agricultural chemicals. He cautioned dealers in agrochemicals, including insecticides, herbicides, and other farm chemicals, to ensure that they sell only genuine and approved products to avoid facing legal consequences. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje disclosed this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The operation, conducted on 18th October, 2026, was led by the Divisional Police Officer, Kala’a Division. During the raid, substances suspected to be Indian hemp, crystal methamphetamine (ICE), Tramadol tablets and other illicit drugs were recovered. The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
