CP DANKOMBO RECEIVED 18 ASPs FROM POLICE ACADEMY, WUDIL

Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Dankombo Morris,  has received eighteen (18) newly passed-out Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, who have been posted to the Command. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The CP charged the officers to exhibit dedication, professionalism, and discipline, while shunning corruption and all forms of misconduct as they embark on their policing careers. He noted that the addition of the officers will strengthen the Command’s manpower and further enhance its capacity to fight crime and criminality across the State.

TWO ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE RENEWED TRIBAL CONFLICT IN LAMURDE ADAMAWA STATE.

The Adamawa State Police Command has swiftly responded to the renewed Lamurde tribal conflict between the two natives of Bachama and Chobo, leading to the killing of three women and the apprehension of two suspects. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The three women were allegedly attacked and killed yesterday, 3rd January, 2026, by some Bachama natives at their farm around Tigno village, Lamurde LGA. The suspects are William Joshua, 30 yearsE zekiel Luka, 23 years, All residents of Tigno, Lamurde LGA, were arrested following reliable information received. Preliminary investigation conducted so far led to the recovery of some offensive weapons in their possession. which include 29 rounds of live ammunition, one magazine of AK-47 rifle, cash of ₦90,000, others.. The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Adamawa State Command, CC Abdulmaliq Dama Bello, today paid a courtesy visit to the former Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the Federal Road Safety Corps, General Haldu A. Hananiya (Rtd), on the occasion of his 84th birthday. Adamawa state Command information Office SRC A. H Tukur stated this in a statement made available to Newmen in Yola ADAMAWA state Capital. The visit took place at the residence of the celebrant in his hometown, Hong, Adamawa State.
