Chairman Ajingi LGA Distribute laptop to ten primary healthcare facilities.

Ajingi local government chairman Dr Abdulhadi Zubairu Chula reaffirm the local commitment in giving priority to community healthcare.   Dr Chula stated this while inauguration the distribution of laptop computers to ten primary healthcare facilities donated by Kano state governor Alhaji Abba kabir Yusif towards improving the rural community healthcare services. POLICE CONDEMN KIDNAPPING OF TWO EYN CHURCH PASTORS IN BILLA MALABU, ORDER OPERATIVES TO HUNT FOR SPONSORS AND RESCUE VICTIMS

Adamawa State Police command has vehemently condemned an unprovoked kidnapping of Pastor Ishaku D Chiwar and Reverend James Kwayam of EYN church Billa Malabu, at the early hours of today, December 30th, 2024.  Police Public Relation Officer  Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. The incident occurred at Billa Malabu, in Fufore local government area , where the kidnappers targeted the house of the victims situated at Hayin Gada, Billa village, Malabu district, Fufore local government area and kidnapped them. The kidnappers, who were armed with offensive weapons invaded the victim's houses around 2:00 am and whisked them away. FIGHT AGAINST DRUG TRAFFICKING – POLICE ARREST THREE, RECOVER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES IN ADAMAWA STATE.

 Adamawa State Police Command  in its ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes. Acted on credible information, were   conducted a raid on a criminal hideout in Malabu, Fufore Local Government Area. Adamawa State. Police Public Relation Officer Adamawa state Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje discloused this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola. During the operation, three suspects were arrested, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp, hard  drugs amongst others were recovered from them.  The suspects are:Shafiu Musa, Idris Mohammed, Bashiru Nasiru, All adults and residents of Malabu District,  have confessed dealing in the global black market and illegal drug trade trafficking. The Adamawa State Police Command remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the state.

Hajj 2025: Intending pilgrims urged to complete payments in Yola north, Girei LGAs

As part of preparation for the 2025 Hajj exercise, intending Pilgrims in Yola North and Girei Local governments of Adamawa State have been advised to pay their deposits before the end of this month. Schedule Officers of the two LGAs, Mallam Salihu Garba, and Alh. Ya'u Gambo gave the advise in an interview with journalist in Yola. The Schedule Officer of the Girei LGA, Mallam Salihu Garba stressed the importance of depositing early for the intending pilgrims to avoid disappointment. He noted that due to their previous experiences, intending pilgrims are advised to be patient and complete their payment before closing time which expires end of December. The Schedule Officer also appealed to the intending pilgrims from the LGA to give maximum support to the Hajj officials in their areas for a successful exercise. 2024 Heroes-Day: ASUU honors 4 Professors of Modibbo Adama University Yola As part of activities for celebrating the Heroes Day, the Academic Staff Union of the Universities ASUU, Modibbo Adama University Yola honored four Professors with awards of excellence. The awards was to appreciate the efforts and contribution of the awardees to the development of the university and the education sector among others. Our Reporter reports that the 2024/2025 heroes day took place at Modibbo Adama University Yola, with dignitaries in attendance from within and outside the state. In his speech, the Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University Yola, professor Ibrahim Umar called on the ASUU to continue with the struggles for the welfare of their members and encouraged them to foster unity among their members to enable them to always achieve their goals. Professor Umar said the union plays a vital role on the rights and welfare of its members. He advised the leaders of the Union to make sure that the union is taking care of its members at all times. The VC also commended the ASUU for organizing the event, assuring them of his support to the union for the development of its activities in the institution. In his address, the Chairman of the occasion, Professor Abbas Bashir said the heros day was designed to "honor our National heros which encourages our younger ones in the academic system." Professor Abbas Bashir explained that the awards was to promote patriotism among citizens and the members of the academic union with the view to strengthen unity and peaceful coexistence. In a bid to enhance security across the Adamawa state, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Adamawa State Command has organized a workshop for its personnel in the state. Public Relations Officer of the command, DSC Amidu Nyako Baba disclosed this while speaking with Newsmen in Yola, Adamawa state Capital. Baba explained that the essence of organizing the workshop was to equip them with new techniques to address the challenges of insecurity across the state. NGO TRAINS 60 PARALEGALS IN ADAMAWA STATE TO COMBAT GENDER- BASED VIOLENCE

The training, organized by a non-governmental organization in collaboration with the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and CARE International, is part of the HARP project funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). Speaking during the event, Khadija Shettima, the Protection/GBV Officer at CARE International, highlighted the critical role paralegals play in addressing GBV. Adamawa: Sheik Bala Lau urges Muslim organizations to unite, appreciates Tsangaya association

National chairman of Jama'atu Izalatul Bid'a Waikkamatu Sunnah JIBWIS, Sheik Abdullahi Bala Lau called for unity among the Islamic Organizations and Muslims ummah for the peace and development of Islam around the globe. Sheik Lau made the call when he received an Award from the Tsangaya Education Development Initiative Association of Adamawa state, during the Walima of Qur'anic Reciters organized by NA'IBI Academy held in Yola. Sheik Abdullahi Bala Lau said that unity among Muslim organizations is very important in development. Born on January 1, 1941 (21 Zul Hajj 1358), Bobboi Muhammad Ahmad lived a life marked by dedication to his faith and family. He is survived by a large and loving family, including 13 sons, 6 daughters, and 77 grandchildren. Known for his strong family ties and leadership within his community, his legacy is further carried on by his only surviving sister. In reflecting on his life, the family recalled his fondness for caring for pigeons, with 7 still in his care at the time of his passing. To boost cotton farming across Nigeria, farmers have been advised to extend their activities to farming cotton for the development and boosting economy of the country. Special Adviser to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Agriculture, Alhaji Usman Abubakar (Manu Ngurore) gave this advice while speaking at the awareness campaign to farmers on cotton farming, which helps in Ngurore, Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Alhaji Usman Abubakar said since 2016, BTcotton seed has been coming into the country to allow farmers to boost their activities accordingly. Alhaji Manu Ngurore explained that using BT cotton seed is very important because the farmers get yield cotter harvesting. For example, in one hectare, farmers harvest three and a half tones of cotton.
