At least fifty widows received food items and cash assistance from the Catholic Bishop in Adamawa State. During the presentation, Rev. Bishop Stephen Dami Manza explained that the distribution was prompted by the difficult situation Nigeria is currently facing.  He emphasized his consideration for the widows, which is why he selected them from across the state to provide support and alleviate their hardships. Rev. Dami Manza urged organizations and individuals to consider assisting the vulnerable members of the community, as this support will help them live peacefully in society.  He advised the beneficiaries to use the items wisely and not sell them, but rather to invest in their development and the well-being of their families. He encouraged everyone to continue praying for Nigeria, seeking divine assistance to reduce hardship and insecurity, and to foster peace and development. As National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, and Multi Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project MCRP,  continues with WADA sensitization on drug abuse across the secondary schools in Adamawa state, NDLEA, and MCRP visit secondary schools in the southern zone of the state. The southern zone includes Demsa, Numan, Lamurde, Guyuk, Shalleng, Mayo Belwa, Jada, Ganye, and Tongo, Local Government Areas. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) reports that its 330kV Ugwaji–Apir Double Circuit transmission lines1&2, tripped due to a fault, resulting in a forced power outage affecting the North East, North West and parts of North Central. Head of Public Affairs of the TCN Campany Ndidi Mbah discloused this in statement made available to Newsment. At approximately 4:53am, the Ugwuaji–Markurdi 330kV Line 2 tripped and 243 MW on that line was transferred to Line 1 on the same route. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Adamawa State Command has deployed personnel to protect headers and farmers across the state. Command's Public Relations Officer, DSC Nyako Amidu Baba disclosed this while speaking to journalists in Yola, state Capital. Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has trained youths and women in different skills acquisition across the state. The Yola Zone of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called on the federal government to stop toying with the future of the Nigerian masses and implement the agreement reached in 2022 between the FGN and ASUU, which led to the suspension of the strike.  ASUU Coordinator, Yola Zone, Dani Mamman stated this in a statement made available to Newsmen in Yola, Adamawa state Capital.
