Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Adamawa State Command, deployed personnel to various worship centers across the state during Eid-el-Fitr to ensure a peaceful Sallah celebration. The Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSC Amidu Nyako Baba, disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Yola. He stated that under the leadership of Commander Idris Bande, personnel were deployed across the 21 local government areas of the state to maintain security at Eid grounds and other Sallah celebration centers. The Command urged the public to cooperate with security agencies before, during, and after the celebrations to promote peaceful coexistence in the state. DSC Nyako also called on parents to take care of their children during the festivities to prevent any breach of the law. He assured the people of Adamawa State of the NSCDC’s commitment to protecting lives and property and urged the Muslim Ummah to use the occasion to pray for unity and peace in their communities.

  As Muslims continue to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, the National Commander of the Hunters Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Muhammed Adamu, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah and prayed to Allah to accept their Ibadah. Speaking with journalists in Yola, Alhaji Adamu urged Muslims, especially the youth, to use Eid-el-Fitr as an opportunity to pray and seek Allah's intervention in overcoming the country's security challenges. He thanked Allah for granting the Muslim Ummah the privilege to witness this year’s Sallah and prayed for unity and peace in the nation. Alhaji Adamu also advised Nigerians to remain united for the development of society.   Adamawa police Command has recorded sixty cases, ranging from Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, Culpable Homicide, Farmers and Headers Clashes, Rape and defilement and other heinous crimes across the state.  Adamawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome killing of a POS operator, Abbas Yuguda, 35 years old, who was attacked in Mayo-Belwa LGA. The incident occurred on 22nd March, 2025, when the victim was on his way home after closing from his business premises.
